Has anybody had problems flying a drone in thailand? Is it legal? Thanks ?

You need to apply for permit, plus insurance, can take up to 3 months to get the permit and that also includes the new dji mini, even though its below the fca weight, or its bye bye drone and bye bye Holiday money
I have been staying on the island of Koh Phangan and had no problems flying a drone but not sure about in cities. I’m assuming it wouldn’t matter if no one else cared and you are not disrupting anybody
No, not legal without permits. Remember the names who say no problem, they will sponsor your fines and new drones in case of it goes wrong
As Jason said. And Temples and big cities is definitely a big NO! Couple of guys went to jail in Bangkok for few months! ???
i do a lot drone in thailand. you need a license and insurance. license can be done fast depending on the province. i did my one in Bangkok, took 4-5 month, a friend did in Chiang Mai, took 10 minutes ?
Also in general you are not allowed to fly over private land and in national parks either, by following the law you always need to ask the right person for this to get permit. But from my experience nobody care as long as you do it calm and not close to peoples house and in case you did wrong say Sorry and stop on that place
Not legal big drama , get a permit and thats for every drone i have a little tello and they told me not to fly it or i would lose it
Never had problem. A police officer not in duty even join me to look. So phuket / Krabi never had problem. Some natural parks can take the drone by the entrance and you get it back when you leave.
I got a warning once flying it off a boat on a tour of the phi phi islands by the police. I had rented a long tail for just myself and my wife. They ended up doing nothing. Just be careful.
