Recommend health insurance policies to purchase in accordance with the STV visa?

I’m looking at health insurance policies to purchase in accordance with the STV visa (specifically the AXA Thailand policies).

It looks like AXA Thailand offers two types:
  • SmartCare Executive Individual Long Stay
  • Sawasdee Thailand Inbound Travel Insurance
Has anyone had any experience with either of these? Do you know if I need both in order to meet the requirements of of the COE and STV visa application?

What are the insurance requirements for COE and STV?

This is a continuously developing topic, please ensure to check with your embassy or consulate about the length of insurance policy that is required for your COE or visa application.
As of 14.10.2020, there are two separate insurance requirements.
For Certificate of Entry, COE: Health insurance policy which covers COVID-19 related medical treatment with a coverage of no less than USD 100,000 or equivalent.
For Special Tourist Visa, STV: Health insurance policy which covers the period that the applicant intends to stay in Thailand with a coverage of no less than THB 40,000 for outpatient treatment and THB 400,000 for in-patient treatment or equivalent.

You need spacific mention for STV and In-out patient words. Sawasdee Thailand did not mention that. But it your risk to take it maybe some embassy not so strick with those word now.

If you want AXA may I suggest buy the AXA Sawadee Thailand policy from Robert Jackson in Thailand. He is an outstanding agent that will take good care 😊
