Is Phuket safe for women tourists?

Most tourist places in Thailand are much safer than in US or Europe. Thailand authorities are extremely scrupulous about safety of the country guests. From time to time there arise some stories about sexually assaulted women in Thailand, and they are obveousely true, but this kind of assault are very rare and are blazingly fast investigated by the local police.

The major don’ts are:

1. Don’t drink too much
2. Don’t go nowhere with strangers
3. Don’t walk drunk alone late at night
4. Don’t behave yourself like a fast woman.

These rules will not guarantee absolute absence of assaults. But most of “unwanted adventures” will pass you by for sure.
