Western Union is the easiest way to receive money, though the fees are substantial.
You can also receive money via wire transfer at the foreign exchange sections of major banks.
In most cases all you need is a passport in order to be able to accept an incoming transfer.
With Western Union, the transfer is immediate, while wire transfers can take up to a few days, depending on the sending country. For wire transfers, we recommend Bangkok Bank in Bangkok.
Direct transfer to your bank account in Thailand is pretty fast too, 1-2 days.
