I need some help please trying to understand our Electricity Bill. Our Estate Shambala in Koh Samui charge us 137 THB per unit. Is this am acceptable amount to pay? Please could we get some advice. Thanks guys.

That’s an insane amount!! Standard PEA rate (in hua hin, don’t know about samui) is 4.5 baht per unit.. Even developments that jack up the rate don’t so much as double that
Should be 6-7 baht per unit maximum.

Normal rate is somewhere about 4 baht per unit. Typically, if a landlord pays and charges the tenant they’ll charge double but anything more than 10 baht a unit doesn’t seem reasonable.
It states on your invoice it’s 4.5bhat per unit.
The invoice states 4.5 per unit.
We used 102 units this month
That means the electricity is only 459 Baht
We inquired about the CT*UNIT figure and we’re told this is the Business rate from the government.
So they multiply the business rate x unit price x CT UNIT price.
