Can anyone recommend best way to withdraw cash without being charged at ATM’s? Travel cards? Don’t want to carry a lot of cash about every day.

      Post office travel card from the UK . Use it like a savings account with the app and pay into it. Then draw it on at ATM. but there is still s charge thou. 220 baht.

      all atms charge 220 a time . unsure what UkCards you cna get but certain the post office . but think you still have to pay . some cards reimbure . unsure which though

      Best way is just to use your ATM card at an ATM machine in front of a good business if you know what I mean get as much as you can set your limit high and pay the 220 it’s the easiest way to do it

      Best advice is to carry hard cash rather than any other mode of transactions because of two reason.
      Card cloning/fraud is very popular in Thailand
      For every transaction through plastic money/card, you need to pay extra even if you are withdrawing money from ATM.

      There is only one way around the 220 charge other than certain banks refunding it. You can pay to a National Savings holding account at the spot rate and pick it up in cash with tx code and ID. Even transferring baht to a Thai account will cost 450 THB. Most expensive charges in the world.

      Obviously, you can carry cash and get a good rate too but cash can be a liability especially if you’re touring and whoring.

      Go into the bank with your card and passport and withdraw over the counter . No atm fee then
