Would you travel to Bangkok and Chiang Mai in March with coronavirus starting to hike up in Thailand? I know the media tends to exaggerate things…so, just curious what the locals think about it.

Yep going March 21. Take hand sanitizer
do you not have in USA ?? we have here in UK it not stopping me flying in 2 weeks 😉
I wouldn’t cancel my trip over it. I’ve been here a week now and it’s business as usual, without the massive Chinese tour buses. Honestly, couldn’t be a better time to come.
Just make sure your connecting flights aren’t going to cause you a hassle.
I just last night. All is fine there no mask needed except for plane rides. Hand hygiene is all you need.
We are in Bangkok at the moment and there are no problems. Just dont cough or sneeze. Thevlooks you get are not nice.lol
It’s all over the world. Not any more of an issue here really. I’ve been here two months nothing has changed. Don’t worry about it.
Thailand has 65 million people in it… I think somewhere around 30 cases of the virus. I think its safe. Wash your hands, etc.
More chance of being killed by the appliances in your kitchen if you stay at home.
Just watch the Sit Rep on WHO , it shows the amount of infected throughout the world , Thailand currently has 33 people infected with 23 of those known to have been in China , if you noticed that number start doubling there they may be risk , just be safe and carry hand sanitizer , and also do not make any connections through China ,
I would go…just not on a seven day trip!!!
I would avoid airports at all costs right now. Especially in Asia.
I’m in Thailand now, in Bangkok everyone wearing masks in the day, no one at night as they wanna look good in the bars lol
Now I’m on koh lanta, almost no one wearing masks here
