Just curious as if I dont leave before then I have to go out at the end of May. In days of yore I have gone on the train to Laos but maybe, from BKK, Cambodia is nearer and quicker?

Just curious as if I dont leave before then I have to go out at the end of May. In days of yore I have gone on the train to Laos but maybe, from BKK, Cambodia is nearer and quicker?
Vietnam is cheapest, 1,500bht direct flight each way from Chiang Mai Airport and a free 14 day VISA waiver (Brit) when I arrive.
China is also very cheap, 1,200bht to Changsa each way but the VISA costs 1,100bht (Brit).
And I also like Siam reap, flight to Bangkok (600bht) then bus from Morchit to Aranyaprathet (250bht), VISA $30 bus Poipet to Siam Reap ($7)
Green bus Chiang Mai to Mai Sai, (500bht), VISA $10.
Used to go to the Philippines as well, but the Air Tickets increased in price, so I crossed that off my list.
Loads of options, I usually stay over for a week and have a little holiday.
