Dollars in room safe. Only excgange as you need
Cash
Mostly ATM cards but take out the maximum cash to minimize the bank fees. I also have a credit card (Capital One) that doesn’t charge ‘out of country fees’ so use that whenever possible to ‘stretch’ my cash Baht.
I use a mix of transferwise, revolut & clarity card.
A Halifax Clarity Card if you’re a Brit is a must to remove all transaction and usage costs abroad but even the Clarity cant get around a local banks ATM charging its own fee as in 220 Baht in Thailand…Some American cards claim they’ll refund but when I checked not unsurprisingly there was a limit
I use my bank card and only withdraw money from bank ATMs. It’s the safest way to ensure peace of mind on your travels…. It’s also the most expensive….
10k in $100 bills is still a very small stack. Easy to spread it between bags, shoes, money belts, wallets ect. Dont feel safe with all the cash, use ATM and pull as you need. But the fees and exchange rates may not be as favorable as TT or banks
with an ATM card
Underwear
Cash and a specialist travel credit card.
Cash is what I carry. And hide it well
