Depends what you want to do. We usually do a few trips , usually take about £1000 with us for the both of us.
Came back from Khao lak in November. 2 adults & 1 teenager we spent £2000 that included trips & gifts too, We didnt scrimp at all, lots of food & cocktails ?
£1000 lasted 10days when i went. Had hotel and breakfast included and had already paid for elephant trip in advance. We brought gifts, more trips and drinks and food. Set budgets each day, helps manage your money. But 1000 was plently for our 10 days in khaolak.
We took $2000 for 6 weeks and used our credit card everywhere possible. Even came back with cash. Total trip around $7000 dollars
