Can someone advise me what does ‘enforcement’ of a TM30 mean?
They issue a fine, I don’t pay the fine. What are the consequences if any after that? Just how serious is all this panic?

It’s an 800baht fine. I paid it yesterday.
They refuse to provide immigration services to you until the fine is paid.
No one can escape the fines for which notice has been issued. When you want to leave Thailand, they will detain you at airport. At that point of time, every one will pay the fine and leave unless he/ she doesn’t have enough money to pay the fine.
You are (technically haha) not responsible. The landlord is. This is just an easy way to extort the fine. Basically if your landlord does not report you or pay the fine, you won’t get your visa renewed.
You however, ARE responsible for informing your landlord and proving them copies of your passport in order to make the report.
From what I have been told not filing the TM30 could be a headache when you have to renew your visa.
