I got all the free ones my doctor would give me (diptheria/tetanus/polio, typhoid, hep a and cholera) plus I paid extra for a few others like hep b, rabies, japanese enc. Not 100% necessary but I was planning on visiting many times in the future so figured it was worth it.

Best place for vaccine advice is the gov website for your home country. Vaccines can depend on which countries you are travelling to before arriving in Thailand so that needs to be taken into consideration

Tetanus is a microbe that lives in moist and cow or horse poo soil. It dies when exposed to air. You need a deep wound, not clean the wound and when the wound heals over the microbe excretion becomes toxic. No rusty nail, no scratches. Sorry to break the news. All can be found on the US Center for Disease Control, CDC, site.

I just take a probiotic every day. I used to always get sick when I travelled to Asia but since the probiotic, zilch. Touch wood ?

GP in Aus recommended typhoid and Hep A. Said to only worry about getting tetanus vax if bitten or scratched etc…..you have three days after to get tetanus shot.
I had a consultation with a travel clinic yesterday.
You should be current on Hep A & B and Tetanus.
Recommended is Typhoid vaccination $140USD
And Japanese Encephalitis for $840.
I declined both of the latter.
