Currency in Thailand is Thai Baht, other currencies can’t substitute Thai baht, this means that you can’t pay USD or EUR in 7/11 or to buy a trip to Koh Chang, you should have Thai baht to pay for goods or services.
If your currency is among the ones widely used in the world, such as USD, EUR, CAD, GBR, RUB, CNY, you can take cash to Thailand in your currency and exchange it to Thai baht in any exchange booth.
