Did anyone have to present a return ticket upon entering Thailand? I am from a visa exempt country. Thanks in advance!

If you are afraid that they will ask for a return ticket then the trick is that you buy a cheap ticket to one of the neighboring countries as you can show that you are leaving Thailand on a date. for example Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam.
I was not asked for it in San Francisco but at my layover in Zurich I was asked for it.
When you apply for COE, you must submit your return ticket. So I assume you have your return ticket in your hand when entering Thailand

If you have a visa the airline don’t ask you, if you don’t they will check you have a return ticket on the system.

When I applied for my pre approval COE it was rejected, my intention was to enter on 45 days Visa Exemption.The London Embassy required me to show a return ticket exiting Thailand within the 45 days which I duly did and my pre approval COE was approved. If you have a valid visa it’s not required.

It may be necessary for your COE application. I uploaded it at the time. Upon entering Thailand yesterday, I showed my flight reservation but not sure if they looked at it. To avoid hassle, present a return flight dated on the 45th day of your visa exempt period. Most airlines allow you to change it later. Or book a cheap flight to anywhere outside Thailand dated on the 45th day of your stay, and bin it later if you don’t use it.
You need to present it upon checking in your flight at the airport unless you have a long term visa in Thai.
Yes, the Thai embassy in your country may request a return ticket when you apply for COE on visa exempt.
I can find NO reports <-(as in zero) where anyone whose jumped thru all the hoops needed to get in to the country has been asked for onward travel when stamping IN once you get here. Now to get your approval to fly here, maybe but that's between you, the consulate and the ministry of foreign affairs BUT once you're on your plane and show up here NO, not one verified case of anyone being asked for onward travel OR proof of 20K baht or the equivalent in cash.
The airlines will ask for an onward or return ticket upon check in if you don’t have a visa. Sometimes they don’t ask in biz class but usually do in economy.
My coe was denied because I didn’t have a return flight on the application and I’m visa exempt
Julia Alexandra Chu I just entered in Thailand 2 days ago and they didn’t ask the return flight when I arrived. BUT, the airline asked me during the check in. My advice: look this site https://onwardflights.com . Also they are asking the booking of the first hotel after quarantine . Good luck 😉
