I have several questions regarding the requirements for obtaining a Non-Imm O Visa based on marriage in HCMC.
According to the embassys website (http://www.thaiembassy.org/hochiminh/en/services/28eighty-six/thirty-fourninety-two3-Non-Immigrant-Visa-O-Accompanying-sp.html) one of the requirements is:
- Company or schools guarantee letter addressed to the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City stating that the applicant is life companion or family members of those working or studying in Thailand
Im neither studying nor working Thailand. Does that mean, that I dont need such a letter?
- Copy of passport pages of those working or studying in Thailand. The passport pages should include personal data page and Thai visa page.
- Copy of Thai Work Permit or Student I.D.
Again they write about working or studying in Thailand, which is confusing. Besides the copy of the passport, do I need anything else?
I will also bring a singed copy of my life companions passport, housebook and birth certificate just in case.
Some embassies or consulates want to see airline tickets in and/or out of Thailand. Do I need to show these?
Also the website states that the processing time is 2 working days. Is this the usual procedure where I apply in the morning and pick up the visa the next day in the afternoon?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Once the visa run is done, I will report back as always 🙂

I got a 1 year Non-O visa based on marriage without a problem. No proof of funds required.
