Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) project is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Ministry of Public Health, and related government and private sectors. The project aims to encourage tourism companies to prepare their workplaces for a new normal lifestyle in order to improve tourism industry standards and hygiene measures.
SHA is a certificate of entrepreneurship in the tourism industry’s willingness to improve products, services and hygiene measures. This is an important factor in preventing the spread of COVID-19 by adhering to hygiene measures, building trust in customers and service recipients of those products and services.
SHA is a certificate awarded by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) for hotels and services that meet pandemic-level health and safety standards. These include regular cleaning, disinfectant placement, table placement, proper nameplates, and various staffing procedures. Basically, it is a certificate intended to ensure that the facility you are staying in applies proper hygiene protocols and that you can visit safely.

SHA+ is just an improved (more rigorous) version of SHA. Being a SHA+ hotel means that over 70% of the staff are fully vaccinated and unvaccinated staff cannot be in close contact with guests. In addition, each staff member must be prepared for a COVID-19 emergency solution. Currently, there are about 300 SHA+ hotels in Thailand. Only these institutions can issue SHABA certificates.
SHA+ IDs are also assigned to certain types of services such as limousines and taxis.
